The TimePlan customer group in Finland recently gathered for a TimePlan project day in Helsinki to go over the new Annual Leave module. This module has been custom-made for Finnish companies using TimePlan for employee scheduling and time & attendance.
Earlier this year, the Finnish employment legislation was updated, and the TimePlan programmers have been working hard in order to adjust TimePlan to automatically comply with the new legislation.
TimePlan Super Users from 12 companies in Finland gathered at the TimePlan office in Helsinki to explore the new features in TimePlan. This included the warning rule for consecutive holidays during a holiday year, and setting up an internal percentage to divide imported manning per hour and per function.
New TimePlan Web App
As per request from many customers who had recently updated to TimePlan version 7, the Finnish group also went over the new TimePlan Web App. The Web App enables employees to view their roster on the mobile phones and tablets, request and swap shifts with each other, message their colleagues and managers, and update their profile details.
After lunch, the group continued to manage the latest settings for the Annual Leave module. The rules and exceptions are very specific and different for hotels, shops, restaurants and amusement parks. Therefore, TimePlan Finland organized a workshop where everyone could stay behind to adjust the settings and simultaneously get support from their peers and the TimePlan Support team.
Meet in person
The TimePlan customer group first met in 2015, and now meets three times per year in person to go over the latest changes and updates in TimePlan. Karoliina Toikka from the TimePlan office in Helsinki reports that these meetings are hugely beneficial to the TimePlan customers, and that the group will meet again in January 2018 to go over the latest news in TimePlan.
